Energy sector depth
Current work inside Energy operations
OpenAI needs a leader who understands how Energy organizations evaluate emerging platforms across operational, technical, and commercial priorities.
Candidate application
Enterprise Sales Manager, Energy at OpenAI
For the past 3 years, I have advised land and Energy companies, including Rowland AI and Paramount, on AI adoption and product builds. At Rowland AI, I lead customized enterprise AI deployments, supported by 22+ years building sales teams and growing strategic accounts.
At Rowland AI, I own customer discovery, solution design, commercial alignment, and production adoption for a consumption-based platform. One back-office workflow improved division order processing efficiency by 75%, increased document throughput by 3.5X, and reduced processing time from 30 minutes to 7 minutes per document.
Meta, Google, and Tickr add sales-team development, complex enterprise accounts, disciplined forecasting, and new go-to-market motions. Rowland adds direct Energy customer work and hands-on technical fluency across OpenAI and Claude APIs.
Why Albert
This role calls for Energy sector knowledge, enterprise platform fluency, team development, complex account leadership, and operating rigor. My experience brings those capabilities together through a 3-year advisory track, current deployments, and a 22-year commercial record.
Energy sector depth

Measurable customer outcomes
Asset-intensive customers need a credible value case tied to throughput, reliability, time, and operating cost before broader adoption.
Team building and coaching
The manager must recruit strong Account Directors, coach complex deals, and connect individual execution with clear operating goals.
Operating rigor
Energy GTM needs clear territory choices, account plans, accurate forecasts, and structured inspection across multi-threaded opportunities.
Enterprise AI fluency
Customers need a sales leader who can connect APIs, agent workflows, data, evaluations, integrations, guardrails, and adoption to executive outcomes.
New GTM motions
OpenAI needs structured learning from early customer work, followed by repeatable commercial motions that support wider platform adoption.
Relevant experience
Each role adds evidence for OpenAI 's Energy motion across direct industry work, enterprise sales, organization building, strategic accounts, technical adoption, and accountable execution.
I lead go-to-market, commercial execution, solution design, and production adoption for a consumption-based enterprise AI platform serving Energy and land customers. This role builds on 3 years advising land and Energy companies, including Rowland AI and Paramount, on AI adoption and product builds. Current work includes customized back-office solutions across Chevron, MineralWare, Iron Mountain, SM Energy, Raisa, and Teocalli.
I managed Meta 's $30B+ North America advertiser revenue book through 5 BPO vendor partners with 400 vendor-employed sellers serving 100K+ advertisers. The business delivered 30% annual growth and 105% quota attainment. That scale demanded forecast discipline, performance coaching, customer feedback, and cross-functional accountability.
As first CRO for a venture-backed enterprise AI company, I built the commercial operating system, grew ARR from $4M to $11M, and expanded pipeline from under 10 to over 200 opportunities. I also scaled the revenue organization from 5 to 50, which provides a relevant model for recruiting, coaching, and developing senior sellers.
I led enterprise sales, market strategy, and complex partnerships across eCommerce, retail, YouTube, Japan, and Korea. I grew North America eCommerce and Retail revenue from $140M to $410M and signed Google 's first global joint business partnership with eBay. This work required executive alignment, territory strategy, product partnership, and disciplined account growth.
I led national sales, digital commerce, P &L ownership, and joint business planning across major retail and platform partners. I managed $265M in revenue and a $75M P &L while delivering the fastest North America growth in Beauty Care. This operating background shaped a customer-first approach to adoption, investment, and accountable outcomes.
Leadership approach
Set subsector priorities across utilities, oil and gas, renewables, power generation, and services using account potential, workflow readiness, data access, and executive sponsorship.
Recruit sellers with industry credibility, platform fluency, executive presence, and the discipline to develop multi-threaded strategic accounts.
Use deal reviews, account strategy sessions, ride-alongs, and structured 1:1s to connect customer problems, technical architecture, commercial value, and close plans.
Define each deployment baseline before the pilot begins, then track cycle time, throughput, reliability, productivity, adoption, and expansion evidence.
Give Product, Solutions Architecture, Technical Success, Legal, Security, Finance, and policy teams structured feedback on blockers, governance needs, and repeatable integration patterns.
Run clear account plans, pipeline inspection, territory reviews, forecast calls, and performance coaching across every stage of the Energy motion.
Experience shaped across
I want to help Energy operators turn OpenAI 's platform into safer, faster workflows with measurable gains across their organizations.
